Odyssey

So in 2012 José Andrés went to Monterrey to renew his Visa with his parents. It started as a normal day but it was followed by unexpected events, all of them in just one day. They were leaving Monterrey but the car started heating, they head over to a gas station to put some cold water on it. After that that they were on the road again, José was either playing with his Nintendo or enjoying the view of the tall mountains. Some minutes later the car heated again but now it didn´t turn on, so they stood by the side of the road for about 7 minutes when a pickup truck specialized in road accidents came by and helped them. They are called "Angeles Verdes" and their job is to look for people that need help.

After that they were on the road again a little bit less nervous than before. "Next time let´s bring the other car," José´s dad said, since that car has failed previously, however not on this magnitude. Time went on and the car kept having problems so they stopped in Paila, Coahuila near a restaurant known for its delicious and unique bread. They decided it was time to call a crane that could take them to Torreón safe and sound. They waited inside the restaurant, they each ordered a soda and then they talked for an hour until the crane arrived. I should probably mention that José´s Godfather offered to come all the way down there to pick them up, but José´s dad had already called the crane. The crane was yellow, it was the first time José had traveled in a crane. So they locked in their car in the back and continued their trip. All of this happened at night by the way, I forgot to mention that, so it made it all more creepy. The light that was emitted from the crane was a dim light, so it just covered a medium size portion of the terrain ahead of them.

Minutes later a cow was in the middle of the road, so they all stopped instantly and then they had to drove around the cow. Finally they were in Torreón and just as they thought they wouldn´t have to face another challenge the crane driver decided to go through another path that was isolated. He said that the path saved him some gasoline so he took it. At the end of the day they all got home, very exhausted from that odyssey. You never know what is going to happen, everything is a surprise.

Holidays are Coming to Town!

With Thanksgiving vacations around the corner so many people are getting ready to go on a trip. I´m personally going to McAllen, Texas with my granparents who just recently celebrated their 50th year anniversary of marriage; my parents who are eager to go and probably my cousin and his parents, they are not sure yet. We are planning a 4 day trip from the 21th to the 24th, I am eager to go as well because I would like to buy some videogames, and also because I like being in hotels. There are times in which I prefer to stay in the bed of the hotel than going out to Walmart to buy stuff. I think that in the last 5 years, we always go out in this date to McAllen. When we arrive my parents already want to go shopping and I´m fine with it, but when I get tired and it is already late I prefer going back to the hotel and talk for a while with my grandparents.

Talking about my grandparents, yesterday we went for dinner to celebrate their anniversary. Fifty years is a long time, and all my family went to a restaurant to have a dinner with them. My oldest cousin made a gift for them, well I have to tell you something before that. My cousin had been taking a picture of all my cousins and me, one by one. She was going to get a frame that had 8 spaces to put photos and she was going to place the images in the frame. It fitted perfectly because we are 8 cousins in total, 4 boys and 4 girls, and they were really happy for the gift. My oldest cousin who did the gift is very creative and she likes to design and animate stuff so they congratulate her. So now my grandparents would see all their grandchildren everytime they are in the house.

So I have 7 cousins, the oldest one is 26 and the younger one is 7. If we count from the youngest one to the oldest one I am the third one with 15 years old. Two of my cousins went to live to the United States with their parents this summer. At first they were uncertain about going, but now they are comfortable and they are doing well. My youngest cousin is Rene and he is also at CAT, at the moment he is in 2nd grade and he enjoys playing soccer; he is a great defense.

I ENJOY RAIN

My favorite time of the year is Winter, I enjoy cold days. That is why I also like rain, most of the times when there is rain the temperature is not that high, I like going outside and have my shirt all soaked up of water. On Friday I went to Santos stadium to see their game against Morelia, beforehand my uncle and my father knew it would probably rain, but we hoped it would be until the game ended. However not everything went as expected during the halftime small drops started falling, I remember that my father was confused when a drop of something fell in his cup. Then we looked up and I was happy to see rain falling, but then the amount of rain increased by a vast amount so we took cover in a roofed area along with hundreds of people. From that place the perspective was really different, we could see the rain in a clearer way, it looked like a transparent wall that moved diagonally. We stood there for an approximately 15 minutes, but since we could not see the game from where we were standing and the rain was not decreasing, we left. Later when we arrived home we found out that Morelia had win. I wasn´t very dissapointed because Santos didn´t have  a chance to win the cup either way.

That night I had homework, but I don´t like doing homework on Friday or Saturday so I usually leave it for Sunday. I should probably do it before but then I start doing other stuff like playing videogames with my friends, or going to a  restaurant with my family. So I always end up finishing my homework on Sunday, and since I wake up early on Saturday and Sunday, specially on Sunday(I don´t know why) I try to do it before meal time.

While I do my homework I like listening to music, specially when I´m writing. My favorite songs are from the 80´s, many of them are 10,000 times better than songs nowadays. However there are still some bands that have some excellent songs, like Coldplay, The Killers, Mana, etc. One of my favorite songs is "Summer of 69´" by Bryan Adams, my dad showed it to me and I really liked the lyrics and the beat of the music. Music can really inspire you at some moments, it can also change your mood in 3 seconds, which is why I enjoy listening songs while doing homework.

Well thanks for reading, and I would recommend for you to hear songs from the amazing bands that I listed above!
